Raised in South Sudan, Paith Philemon is a data scientist, designer, and STEM education doctoral student at the University of Minnesota. Her research examines how technology and innovative teaching methods can help underrepresented students. She aims to improve educational opportunities for youth in marginalized communities, addressing issues like inadequate facilities and untrained educators. Her work uses technology to support Black students and promote educational equity. As a STEM advocate, she encourages Computational Thinking in diverse communities through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs.
